Stanwood is the commercial and cultural hub of the greater Stanwood/Camano community and is located 50 miles north of Seattle, at the mouth of the Stillaguamish River near Camano Island. It is located on State Route 532, the east-west highway connecting Camano Island to Interstate 5, and is also accessible by Pioneer Highway, and the Pacific Highway. Stanwood is among the smallest of cities in Snohomish County, with an estimated population of 7,200 people. By 2035, the city of Stanwood and its surrounding urban growth area is expected to increase by almost 66%.

There are two main areas for commercial real estate within the City of Stanwood. Much of Stanwood’s commercial retail establishments are located on 72nd Ave in the Stanwood/Camano Village. The other area of commercial development is the historical area of downtown Stanwood. Both areas provide excellent opportunities for office, retail, and industrial businesses to grow.

Stanwood is known for its Scandinavian heritage and for its natural allure. Many festivals and musical events are held here. During the summer months, The Viking Village is the site for a farmer’s market and Stanwood farms grow local produce during spring, summer, and fall months. Stanwood offers eight beautiful parks within the city and is the gateway to the gorgeous Camano Island which is home to two state parks.
